I absolutely **adored** your lovely staff and thoughtful, beautiful space!!! The food here is excellent as well, if a bit "snack"-y ---- think this compliments a few drinks, Margaritas or beers from next-door Tilda's extremely well, i think. Be on the lookout for great quesadillas, terriffic guac and a very good spicy cauliflour taco. ...also be on the lookout for toothpicks (all the signage made sense after i saw the taco presentation --- makes sense now!) The patio was lovely on a very warm (25Âş or more day). Love the slayer sign in the bathroom --- you guys are fantastic

So happy to have finally had the chance to eat here. I had two veggie tacos, soup and a margarita. Everything was phenomenal. The house margarita was a full 16 oz glass for the price of what you’d get a splash for anywhere else in Seattle. The flavors of the tacos were exciting and soul warming. My only complaint, as a person who doesn’t tip or like the tipping system, I was sad to see they ask for a tip (it’s counter service and you to bus your own table). That’s all I have to say about that because either way…I am excited to go back again! Also, they’re open late…if you live in Seattle you know this is a luxury! The food was amazing, don’t sleep on this place!
Leaving this review because we’ve been in twice recently and both times were great. First visit: group of 4 on a Sunday afternoon, all ordering separately, and everything came out almost suspiciously fast. Normally that’s when I start bracing for disappointment, but no, everything was actually really good! I got the papas tacos and an “all the things” and loved both. Beans were great, just firm enough and flavorful with none of that mushy, slimy texture that ruins things. Their chips are thick, salty, and warm in a way that feels a little indulgent. Big fan of the queso and guac. I skipped the pico and slaw because cilantro and I are not aligned, but everyone else inhaled everything they got on their trays. ** It’s important to note, they literally tell you multiple times to not eat the toothpicks, so really DON’T EAT THEM. Second visit: went back the following Sunday as a party of two. Ordered the same thing again, no notes, tacos were perfect. My partner got the La Cerdita burrito without dairy and they handled the allergy request without any weirdness, which we always appreciate. We had the pre-batched margaritas both times and they’re great. Strong enough to feel it, but still taste like actual ingredients. Staff is really friendly and upbeat, the music is fun (OutKast was a nice touch), and there’s a talking chicken that told us to leave, which we did lol. Also, it’s actually warm inside. I’m perpetually cold and this place is really comfortable. I live 40 minutes away and already want to go back. I’m going to try to make the tacos at home and will absolutely not pull it off. They don’t skimp on seasoning and the potatoes have this garlicky, creamy/fluffy thing going on that really works. Worth mentioning, it’s women-owned, which honestly shows. The whole place has that feeling like someone actually cared about what you were eating, like a matriarch quietly making sure you’re fed right. Highly recommend.
I am from Texas and grew up eating a ton of Mexican food. I can’t say much, but this food tastes pretty normal to me. I ordered the chicken taquitos. I thought that was a good comparison to Texas. They came out quickly and they were hot. They added a dab of guacamole on top with grated cheese and lettuce. That was pretty close to Texas. They give you this weird dipping sauce that is nasty. It tastes like something I would get at a bad Chinese restaurant. Keep it simple. A good salsa or pico de gallo. The cool environment and the wait staff are nice. It’s a great place if you’re drunk and need some greasy food. It’s expensive. $25 for 5 taquitos and a lemonade. I understand it’s pricey to have a spot in the middle of Ballad. I wish them the best.
I ordered the two taco rice and beans combo meal. The tacos I tried were the spicy cauliflower and papas (potato/cheese). I can't stop thinking about the papas and would definitely order two of these next time. If you want fun bar vibes walk down the fun pink hallway and you'll find this treasure.
AWESOME food and atmosphere at this Ballard "Lebenese-Mexican" restaurant and bar. The meat and vegetarian options are all fantastic. The brown butter beef nachos are... Michelin star worthy, which I did not expect, of all the things we ordered.. which included all three tacos, both taquito types, a burrito, and the nachos. All was great, but the house made tortilla chips are fried and crisp to perfection. Staff is a bit terse but ultimately helpful and efficient. Food does not take long to come.
This amazing Mexican restaurant won’t disappoint when you visit—the guacamole is the best we ever had (10/10). That alone is worth five stars for $14! The decor is spot on for a casual vibe. It’s also kid friendly and has a patio that’s pet friendly. For a Father’s Day meal for two it was under $50. The food was so good.
